INFORMATION FOR CLUB OFFICERS AND ADVISERS
ACTIVITIES FOR CLUBS - FALL 2008
- Inter-Club Council meetings - every Wednesday at 12:00 noon - first meeting September 3rd
This is an opportunity for clubs to exchange information/ideas and collaborate on projects/activities that mutually beneficial to the clubs, campus and community. The Inter-Club Council (or I.C.C.) is also responsible for approving new clubs and budget requests. Each club should send a representative to the Inter-Club Council meetings on Wednesdays at 12:00 in the Cafeteria Stadium Room. The meetings are also open to the public and agendas are posted in the Activities Center West Lounge.
- Club Rush - September 8th thru 11th from 10am-2pm on Library Lawn
ICC will set up tables on the Library Lawn for clubs to recruit new members. To reserve a table, click here for a printable copy of the Club Rush Participation Flier. Or contact the Student Development Office to get a copy.
- I.C.C. Club Mixer - September 19th from 12-2pm in the Activities Center East Lounge
This potluck activity is specifically for ICC reps, club presidents and advisers. Invitations will be placed in club mailboxes and given out at the Inter-Club Council meetings.
- I.C.C. 3-Day Bloodmobile - September 30th, October 1st and October 2nd in the Activities Center East Lounge
This is a community service project sponsored by ICC for the American Red Cross. Clubs who recruit the most donors and volunteers will receive an award for their efforts. Please turn in your donor sign-up sheets as soon as possible. Need more? Pick them up at the Student Development Office.
- I.C.C. Homecoming Activities
- Homecoming Queen and King Election - November 11th and 12th
- Homecoming Rally - November 11th
- Homecoming Football game - Saturday, November 15th with halftime parade. More info as available.
- I.C.C. Children's Holiday Party - Friday, December 5th from 12-2 p.m (tentative)
Traditionally I.C.C. invites approximately 80 children from selected Headstart preschool centers in the community and provides bus transportation to/from ECC. I.C.C. decorates the East Lounge, provides craft activities, refreshments and a toy for each kid (presented by Santa). I.C.C. will form a planning committee in the fall and clubs are encouraged to participate. More info will be presented at the I.C.C. meetings.
All the above activities are entered on the ECC Student Activities Calendar of Events. NOTE: To include your club activities on the ECC Student Activities calendar, please schedule them with the Student Development Office staff.
