INFORMATION FOR CLUB OFFICERS AND ADVISERS
ACTIVITIES FOR CLUBS - FALL 2009
- Inter-Club Council meetings - every Wednesday at 12:00 noon - first meeting September 9, 2009 in our new location: the Activities Center West Conference Room. This is an opportunity for clubs to exchange information/ideas and collaborate on projects/activities that mutually beneficial to the clubs, campus and community. The Inter-Club Council (or I.C.C.) is also responsible for approving new clubs and budget requests. Each club should send a representative to the Inter-Club Council meetings on Wednesdays at 12:00 in the Cafeteria Stadium Room. The meetings are also open to the public and agendas are posted in the Activities Center West Lounge.
- Club Rush - September 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th from 10am-2pm on Library Lawn
ICC will set up tables on the Library Lawn for clubs to recruit new members. To reserve a table, click here for a printable copy of the Club Rush Participation Flier. Or contact the Student Development Office to get a copy.
- I.C.C. Club Mixer - September 25th from 12-2pm in the Activities Center West Lounge
This activity is specifically for ICC reps, club presidents and advisers. Invitations will be placed in club mailboxes and given out at the Inter-Club Council meetings.
- I.C.C. 3-Day Bloodmobile - October 13th, 14th and 15th in the Activities Center West Lounge
This is a community service project sponsored by ICC for the American Red Cross. Clubs who recruit the most donors and volunteers will receive an award for their efforts. All sign ups will be online this semester. Please pick up information and fliers in the Student Development Office.
- I.C.C. Homecoming Activities - week of November 2-7th, Homecoming football game is on Saturday, November 7th - Events to be determined. Come to the ICC meetings for more information.
- I.C.C. Children's Holiday Party - Friday, December 11, 2009 - this is a community services project for the clubs to help plan and participate in. Eighty children from local Headstart Centers will be invited for refreshments, activities, gifts and a visit with Santa. Come to the ICC meetings for more information.
All the above activities are entered on the ECC Student Activities Calendar of Events. NOTE: To include your club activities on the ECC Student Activities calendar, please schedule them with the Student Development Office staff.

In an effort to insure that our campus activities and events meet the health standards for our community, the Student Development Office in association with Campus Foodservices, Inc. is instituting a "food safe" program for our student organizations. Please contact the Student Development Office if your club is planning an activity at which food is served, sold or available. The following may apply as of December 2008:

BAKE SALES OR OTHER FOOD FUNDRAISERS - only with packaged, store-bought items

NO BARBECUES - unless facilitated by Campus Foodservices, Inc.

ALL FOOD PREPARED BY OFF-CAMPUS CATERERS (WHETHER PURCHASED OR DONATED) - each caterer must provide a copy of their liability insurance and their food handling license
- FUNDRAISERS AT OFF-CAMPUS RESTAURANTS - are possibilities
