WELCOME TO THE ADULT REENTRY PROGRAM!

The profile of the adult reentry student is constantly evolving, and the number of reentry students at our college is rapidly growing. An adult reentry student is at least 30 years of age and has made the decision to reenter the academic arena. Returning to school after a considerable amount of time is an important and significant issue for the adult learner. El Camino College is aware of the unique needs experienced by reentry students and functions to offer support and services to foster and enhance students' growth and success.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Adult Reentry Program (ARP) at El Camino College is dedicated to issues encountered by the student returning to school after a substantive absence. The program's mission is to provide support services to prospective students and current students who have multiple responsibilities outside the role of the student. The program serves as a resource to the El Camino College community in providing an educational environment for adult learners' success and retention.

SERVICES
Adult Reentry services are offered in the Counseling Center, located on the first floor of the Student Services Center, Room SSC 104 F. The services are specifically designed to address the needs and concerns of adults who are starting school for the first time or returning to college to upgrade their existing job skills or to obtain new ones. Our goal is to facilitate your transition back to school and to assure a successful completion of your educational goals. We provide a welcoming and supportive environment along with services that include educational and personal counseling, career exploration, and book voucher assistance.
