ATTENTION FALL 2017 UC & CSU APPLICANTS:

---The University of California (UC) application for Fall 2017 is now available! You can begin filling out the UC application at www.universityofcalifornia.edu/apply. However, the filing period to submit your UC application is November 1 - 30, 2016.

  **Make sure to attend a UC Application Workshop/Open Lab and a UC Personal Insight Questions Workshop/Open Lab.

---The California State University (CSU) application filing period for Fall 2017 admission begins October 1, 2016 and the deadline to apply is November 30, 2016. To apply, log on to http://www.csumentor.edu/.

   **Make sure to attend a CSU application workshop and an Application Assistance Open Lab.

ATTENTION USC & LMU TRANSFER APPLICANTS:


USC APPLICANTS:

Students interested in applying to USC for admission to the 2017-2018 academic year are required to submit the Common Application and the USC Writing Supplement, both of which can be accessed at: www.commonapp.org

Application deadline is February 1, 2017.

Please be aware the following
majors/programs have a December 1, 2016 application deadline:
  • Writing for Screen and Television in the School of Cinematic Arts
  • B.F.A. programs in the School of Dramatic Arts
  • Kaufman School of Dance and Thornton School of Music

LMU APPLICANTS:

To apply for admission to LMU for Fall 2017 submit the Common Application at www.commonapp.org (OR) the LMU online application at admission.lmu.edu/apply/transferapplicants/

Deadlines for Transfer Applicants:

  • February 1, 2017 – Early Priority admission for Fall ‘17
  • March 15, 2017 – Regular Decision admission for Fall ’17

The 2017-2018 FAFSA and California Dream Act Application

is here and earlier than ever! It will be available starting October 1, 2016. Apply Early!   


Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application (if you are an AB540 student) is the first step toward applying and getting federal aid for college. The FAFSA priority deadline for the 2017-2018 academic year is March 2, 2017.
**Please make sure to list all UC, CSU, and Private/Out-of-State institutions for which you are planning to apply.

To begin your FAFSA application, go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/.  To begin your California Dream Act application or for more information about the types of financial aid Dream Act students can access, please see the California Student Aid Commission's website at  www.csac.ca.gov/dream_act.asp

The 2017-2018 IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT) is now available. If you filled out the 2016-2017 FAFSA, you will use your 2015 tax info again for the 2017-2018 FAFSA. That means you can use the IRS DRT right away!

Need to see a Transfer Counselor? The Transfer Center has walk-in hours


Meet with a Transfer Counselor on a first-come, first-serve basis. Counseling is limited to ten minutes. During walk-in hours you will be able to ask quick transfer related questions, ask questions about the UC Personal Insight Questions; discuss TAG basic requirements and review AA-T/AS-T "Intent to Graduate" petitions (students with ECC transcripts only).

Monica Lanier: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 12-1 p.m. (SSC 108H)
