ATTENTION SPRING 2015 ASSOCIATE DEGREE APPLICANTS:

Transfer Students who intend to earn an AA/AS or AA-T/AS-T degree should file the Intent to Graduate form as of January 5, 2015 through February 13, 2015 in the Admissions Office. 

**Please note AA-T / AS-T applicants should submit their Intent to Graduate form ASAP! Please see a counselor to determine if you are eligible for an Associates Degree in Transfer. 



ATTENTION FALL 2015 TRANSFER APPLICANTS:


If you applied for the Fall 2015 semester/quarter there is an application update/supplemental application required for the following universities: 

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA (UC)

The UC Transfer Academic Update will be available on January 7, 2015 and the priority deadline to complete the Academic Update is
January 31, 2015. Note: UC Berkeley requires its applicants to complete additional forms, available on the MyBerkeleyApplication website  https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp. Login instructions will be emailed to you in January. 

You are required to update your final grades from the Fall 2014 term and list all your in progress or planned coursework through Summer 2015. Your updates will ensure UC campuses have the most current academic information available. 

You must log in to your UC application at https://admissions.universityofcalifornia.edu/applicant/login.htm and complete the Transfer Academic Update, even if you do not have any in-progress or planned coursework and your record of course grades was complete in your original application.  

CSU LONG BEACH (CSULB)

The deadline to complete the CSULB Supplemental Application for Transfer Applicants is February 3, 2015.  To complete your supplemental application go to: http://www.csulb.edu/depts/enrollment/admissions/applicant.html#supplement

Transfer applicants are required to submit a supplemental application including their progress in completing CSU minimum 
requirements, major specific lower division preparation coursework and the transfer AA-T or AS-T degree, if applicable.
Note: Applicants are encouraged to complete the supplemental application even if they haven’t completed all lower division major preparation.

SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY (SDSU)

The deadline to complete the SDSU Transfer Supplemental Application is January 23, 2015.

Transfer applicants must submit a supplemental application, which is available in the SDSU WebPortal at https://sunspot.sdsu.edu/pls/webapp/web_menu.login/. This step is not optional. Please be advised your admission to SDSU 
will be based on the information you provide on the supplemental application.


***Get help completing the UC Transfer Academic Update, the CSULB Supplemental Application for Transfer Applicants 
and/or the SDSU Transfer Supplemental Application at either of the following Open Labs: Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 1-3pm in Humanities 103 or Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 3-5pm in the Library Basement 10.



ATTENTION USC FALL 2015 TRANSFER APPLICANTS:

USC uses the Common Application exclusively. Students interested in applying for admission to the 2015-2016 academic year are required to submit the Common Application and the USC Supplement, both of which can be accessed at:  https://www.commonapp.org/

Application deadline is February 1, 2015.

Please note the following majors have a December 1, 2014 deadline:

  • Writing for Screen and Television in the School of Cinematic Arts
  • B.F.A. program in the School of Dramatic Arts
  • Thornton School of Music


ATTENTION LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY (LMU) FALL 2015 TRANSFER APPLICANTS:

Early Priority deadline for transfer students applying for Fall 2015  -- February 1, 2015 (Applications completed by this date will receive a response by March 1).

Priority Deadline for Fall 2015 admission -- March 15, 2015

—(Applications received after these priority dates will be considered on a space-available basis)

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID NOW!!!

Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act application if you are an AB540 student is the first step toward applying and getting federal aid for college.

The FAFSA priority deadline for the 2014-2015 academic year is March 2, 2015. To begin your FAFSA application, go to https://fafsa.ed.gov/.

To apply for a Cal Grant, the 2014-2015 Dream Act Application is due by March 2, 2015. To begin your California Dream Act application or for more information about the types of financial aid Dream Act students can access, please see the California Student Aid Commission's website a www.csac.ca.gov/dream_act.asp

Need to see a Transfer Counselor? The Transfer Center has counseling walk-in hours!!!!


Meet with a Transfer Counselor on a first-come, first-serve basis. Counseling is limited to ten minutes. During walk-in
hours you will be able to ask quick transfer related questions, ask questions about the Personal Statement and discuss
TAG basic requirements.

Note: Transcript evaluation and Education Plans are not appropriate for Transfer walk-in hours and require a
counseling appointment.
