You are cordially invited to attend our annual Admit Reception on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 2-4:30pm in the East Dining Room (above Bookstore). This reception is to honor and congratulate you for your acceptance to a University of California, a California State University, or a Private/Out-of-State University for Fall 2014. At the reception, you will have an opportunity to meet with a representative from the university you will be attending to discuss the next steps, meet others who have been admitted to the same university, receive a Certificate in honor of your acceptance and enjoy some refreshments.

You must RSVP in the Transfer Center, located on the 1st Floor, Student Services Bldg. or email us at   In the email, please include your name, the university you are attending, your major, your current phone number and the number of guests you will bring to the reception (limit 1 guest).

We would appreciate if you could also complete the "Accepted to the Universityform and return it to Theresa Barragan or Blanca Prado in SSC 108L.  If you have any questions call us at 310.660.3593 x3481 or x5481.


March 1 – May 1, 2014 - Admissions letters sent or check the campus websites for admissions status. Notify the Transfer Center to which university you were admitted.

May 1 – June 1, 2014 - Once admitted, submit Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) to UC or CSU of choice.

May 2014 - Attend the Admit Reception/Celebration at ECC, sponsored by the Transfer Center.

May 2014 (end of semester) - Once admitted and you have decided what university you will attend, you must do the following:

          -Request CSU GE or IGETC certification at the Admissions & Records Office.
          -Request final transcripts from the Admissions & Records Office to be sent to the university.
          -If applicable, send final transcripts with posted AA/AS-T degree to the university you will be attending by the university

Need to see a Transfer Counselor? The Transfer Center has counseling walk-in hours!!!!

Meet with a Transfer Counselor on a first-come, first-serve basis. Counseling is limited to ten minutes. During walk-in
hours you will be able to ask quick transfer related questions, ask questions about the Personal Statement and discuss
TAG basic requirements.

Note: Transcript evaluation and Education Plans are not appropriate for Transfer walk-in hours and require a
counseling appointment.
