Program Summary
El Camino College, an educational leader and business partner for over fifty years in the South Bay strongly believes that an essential component of our students’ educational experience is the ability to provide practical experience in their chosen field of study. We believe that student employment can provide valuable benefits to both the student and the employer. For example, full-time and part-time work experience affords students the ability to integrate practical hands-on experience with academic theory. Such experiences expose our students to the latest cutting edge technologies in their field and ultimately afford them an opportunity to develop critical networking relationships with industry professionals. As an employer, I’m certain that you fully understand the benefits of having the opportunity to train and educate potential candidates for the workforce. Students who intern and work part-time during school come better prepared to interview, are highly motivated and can reduce time and costs to the employer. Finally, employers benefit from a diverse population of students who have demonstrated their commitment to work.
