TO QUALIFY FOR EOPS:
- Must be a California resident and,
- Enroll in at least 12 units and,
- Have fewer than 50 degree applicable units and,
- Your income qualifies you based on the Board of Governors Fee Waiver Program (BOGFW) 2011-2012 Income Standards* Method A OR B see below:

PLUS You must have an education need in one (1) of the following areas:
- Placement scores below English 1A or Math 73 or 80
- Non high school graduate
- Have not passed the California Proficiency Exam nor earned a GED
- Previous enrollment in remedial courses
- High school graduate with GPA below 2.5
- Other factors as determined by the EOPS Director
* These standards are based upon the federal poverty guidelines, as published each year by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Under Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, the student or student’s family must have a total income in the prior year (in this case, 2010) that is equal to or less than 150% of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines based on family size. These standards are for the 2011-2012 academic year and are to be used to determine BOGFW-B eligibility EFFECTIVE July 1, 2011.
