** MidPoint Disbursements **

The midpoint financial aid disbursements are available to be picked up at the Bursars Office beginning on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 1:00 PM in the Bursar Office (C34). Students that are scheduled to receive a financial aid check are being notified by telephone to pick up their checks. All others are encouraged to work to complete their files so that payments may be made in a timely manner.

The Compton Center Financial Aid Office is changing business practices to better serve students.

The Financial Aid Office is:

IMPROVING COMMUNICATION WITH FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS;

IMPROVING FINANCIAL AID OUTREACH EFFORTS;

IMPROVING FINANCIAL AID PROCESSING;

RAISING OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE LEVEL and

ENFORCING A STUDENT'S RIGHT TO PRIVACY WHILE IN THE AID OFFICE.

2007-2008 Reminders:

1. Apply for a Cal Grant using the Federal application (FAFSA) by March 2, 2007.

2. First time Cal Grant applicants must submit a GPA Verification Form to the CSAC.

3. Please have an updated phone number so that you may be contacted to pickup your check at the Bursar Office - C34.

4. Please have a current address on file so that you get your financial aid correspondence.

5. 2007 Fall term financial payments are contingent upon your Spring and Summer 2007 grades.
