GET ONLINE TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

 

Corrections delay your financial aid payments. Do it right the first time!

 

  1. Apply for admission to our college online at http://www.cccapply.org/. Please use the name on your social security card.

  2. Attend a FAFSA workshop by calling 310-660-3493. Get your questions answered before you leave the workshop.

  3. Complete the FAFSA on the Web Worksheet application to familiarize yourself with the FAFSA application.

  4. Refer to your current or prior year federal tax returns, wage statements (w-2's) or your last paycheck  for completing the FAFSA application. Estimate your financial information if you are unsure about what to input.

  5. Males can verify their selective service registration at www.sss.ed.gov.

  6. All students can check their loan history on NSLDS for students at www.nslds.ed.gov/nslds_SA/

  7. Complete  the student and/or parent PIN applications at www.pin.ed.gov if you do not have one.

  8. Complete the FAFSA application online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our Title IV code is 001197. 

  9. Give careful attention to the error edits built into the electronic application. Edits are designed to save you time and money. Remember - your application must be error free to process through our system.

  10. Provide the appropriate e-signatures (student and/or parent) so that your application is not rejected.

  11. Print a copy of your FAFSA application for future reference in case you need to speak with a financial aid professional. Always keep copies of any documents that you use to process your financial aid.
