Hello. Get comfortable. Okay. Lesson twelve is about understanding your Financial Aid Award Letter. Once we package your file we will send an Award Letter to you. This letter gives you important information that you must understand. Your Award Letter lists all awards that you are eligible. You may see federal, state, institutional and even private types of financial aid. Various offices may give you financial aid including the Financial Aid Office, Cal Works and the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services. Your awards are based on full time attendance but your payments may be increased or decreased depending upon how many classes you are enrolled at the college. You may see special instructions so please read the information carefully and review the information sheets on our forms page on the website. Sometimes your awards are modified because of bad data. Sometimes you may only qualify for a federal loan. Yes. Federal loans are a wonderful financial aid resource. An electronic copy of your letter can be accessed under My El Camino College. Good job.
