Ireland

OPEN TO ALL MAJORS
The first 2 weeks we will live on campus at the famous and beautiful Trinity College in the heart of festive and historical Dublin Ireland. The next week will be spent seeing beautiful Ireland. The following is included in the program:
In Dublin we will:
- Student housing (self catering) on the Trinity College campus breakfast included
- Attend classes at Trinity given by Trinity lecturers on history, famous Irish writers as well as Communication Studies classes with Professor Rosemary Swade
- Walking tours of the campus including the Book of Kells
- Tours of Dublin and the surround sites of interest
- Attend concerts, plays, and poetry readings
- Glendalough (8th century monastic settlement) and Wicklow Mountians
- New Grange (5, 000 year old passage grave)
After Dublin we will travel to beautiful Galway by the sea where we will:
- Enjoy the famous Galway Arts Festival where people from all over Europe come to see the world class theatre, concerts, and 2 live performances
- Visit the beautiful Aran Islands with their 5,000 year old neolithic stone fort
- The Cliffs of Moher
Other cities and sight on our program:
- The Ring of Kerry
- Killarney
- Rock of Cashel
Program details:
The program is open to all who…
- All classes are transferable general education courses
- 6 college credits are offered in this program
- Are over 18 years old
- Have completed or will complete 12 unites of college credits (exceptions may be made by approval of ECC administration)
- Complete and submit the ECC study abroad application
- You are welcome to invite friends an family that are NOT currently El Camino students, they would become ECC students for this program
Estimated Cost based on 25 participants: $3,100
with Air from LAX $995 plus air tax approximately $400

Informational meetings ALL held in MU210:
December 8 Wednesday 5:00-6:00
Deposits of $500 due on or before DECEMBER 8th. Please make payment to:
AIFS (American Institute of Foreign Study) and deliver to Professor Swade in MU210 or at the Fine Arts office in the MUSIC building. Future schedule for payments TBA.
Space will be limited to 25 participants.
Interviews will be held at 6:30 on St. Patrick’s Day March 17th beginning at 6:30pm in MU210. Interviews will also be held by appointment prior to this date as needed.
Orientation meetings for those who have secured their space on the program by completing the application process, and paid all monies due to date will be:
April 7 Thursday 5:30-6:30 and TBA
