El Camino College Symphony Orchestra to Perform Fall Concert

The El Camino College Symphony Orchestra will perform traditional and contemporary orchestral works at 8 p.m. Nov. 4 in Marsee Auditorium.

The performance is directed by professor Dane Teter and will feature guest musicians. The program will include works such as "Concerto for Two Clarinets" by Franz Krommer, performed by Berkeley Price, ECC dean of fine arts, and professor Teter. Franz Doppler's "Fantaisie Pastorale Hongroise" will feature Pat Maki, flute, and "Romance in G Major" by Ludwig van Beethoven will spotlight the skills of famed violinist Lubo Velickovic.

The El Camino College Symphony Orchestra is an audition orchestra for students who play at an intermediate level or higher. During concerts, the group performs works for string and full orchestras, as well as solo and choral accompanying pieces.

Tickets for the performance are $10 and may be purchased online at centerforthearts.org using the online ticketing system or by phone at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
