Anne Farnsworth Quartet to Perform at El Camino College

 Tunes from the Great American Songbook and new jazz standards featured at concert

Los Angeles-based jazz pianist and vocalist Anne Farnsworth will join her jazz quartet in El Camino College’s Marsee Auditorium 8 p.m. Nov. 11.

Farnsworth, an accomplished jazz pianist, vocalist and ECC faculty member, worked with the performing quartet on her most recent album, “Sealed with a Kiss.” The program will include tunes from the Great American Songbook as well as new jazz standards and will feature guests such as Doug Webb on tenor saxophone, Lee Spath on drums and Alphonso Johnson on bass.

Farnsworth, a 2012 Fulbright scholar, has also taught at the Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music in Latvia, USC, Occidental College and the Idyllwild Arts Academy. She has toured extensively in the U.S. and abroad both as a “sideman” and leader of her own trios and quartets.

Tickets for the performance range from $10-$21 and may be purchased online at using the online ticketing system or by phone at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
