El Camino College to Present Annual "Messiah Sing-Along"

El Camino College invites everyone to join the annual “Messiah Sing-Along” concert scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Campus Theatre.

This free event is a beloved annual ECC tradition for more than 50 years, featuring the music of George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” masterpiece, composed in just 24 days. This year marks the 275th anniversary of the composer’s piece, one of the most-performed classical works of all time.

El Camino College’s singalong will feature an orchestra and several professional soloists, with members of the audience encouraged to raise their voices and sing with the melodies and harmonies, or just sit back and enjoy the concert. Participants can bring their own score or pick one up at the door.

The “Messiah Sing-Along” is directed by professor Joanna Medawar Nachef, director of choral activities at El Camino College. The popular show packs the house every year.

The “Messiah Sing-Along” at El Camino College is free and open to the public.
