“I am honored to be selected as this year’s commencement speaker because as a person who worked full time and attended school as well, I can contest to the hard work and dedication that each and every one of my classmates have put into their education thus far, and what a journey it has been,” Ms. Smith said.
Ms. Smith majored in Early Child Development, and will receive an Associate degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Child Development. She will transfer to California State University, Long Beach later this year.
