El Camino College Chorale to Present Spring Show
The El Camino College Chorale will give its final performance of the year 7 p.m. June 3 in the Campus Theatre.
The concert “A Journey Through Time” is directed by Joanna Medawar Nachef, accompanied by pianist Kenner Bailey, and features compositions from Haydn and Mozart, among others. A string quartet will also perform, featuring Jennifer Holly, violin I; Eric Holly, violin II; Doug Rezende, viola; and Josie Boyer, violoncello.
Nachef is an internationally acclaimed choral conductor who has made several Carnegie Hall appearances. She earned a doctorate in musical arts and a master’s degree in choral music from USC, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Bailey has worked within a wide range of genres throughout his varied musical career. His creative ventures have included performing everything from classical and Broadway to most forms of commercial music. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University and master’s degree in piano from USC.
As the college’s premier choral group, the ECC Chorale gives students the opportunity to sing all styles of choral literature. The group performs several concerts on campus and in the community and participates in musical festivals and tours. Since 1997, the El Camino College Chorale has performed in San Francisco, San Jose, New York’s Carnegie Hall, San Diego and a Hawaii concert series on the island of Oahu, among other events.

The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. The Campus Theatre is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
