El Camino College Concert Band to Present a “Magical” Fall Concert

El Camino College's most diverse band, the ECC Concert Band, will perform "It's Magical" at 3 p.m. Nov. 19 in Marsee Auditorium.

The ECC Concert Band includes a variety of musicians – from high school students to retirees –who perform the finest traditional and contemporary wind-band literature. The program will include musical favorites from "Harry Potter" and "Wicked," as well as the classic "When You Wish Upon a Star." The event is directed by ECC faculty member Dane Teter, director of instrumental music.

Professor Teter received his doctorate in music education from USC and is a veteran conductor who has worked with numerous bands, orchestras and choirs from all over the Western United States. He frequently performs in El Camino College Artist-in-Residence recitals with fellow faculty members and local musicians.

Tickets for the performance are $10 and may be purchased online at centerforthearts.org using the online ticketing system or by phone at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
