El Camino College Symphony Orchestra to Present “The Dance”

The El Camino College Symphony Orchestra will present its spring show “The Dance” at 8 p.m. March 10 in Marsee Auditorium.

The performance is directed by Dane Teter and will include works such as Aaron Copland’s “Billy the Kid,” “Five Courtly Dances from Gloriana” by Benjamin Britten, Arturo Márquez’s “Danzón 8,” and ballet music from “Faust” by Charles Gounod.

The El Camino College Symphony Orchestra is an audition orchestra for students who play at an intermediate level or higher. During concerts, the group performs works for string and full orchestras, as well as solo and choral accompanying pieces.

Tickets for the performance are $10 and may be purchased online at www.centerforthearts.org using the online ticketing system or by phone at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Campus parking is $3. Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
