**ALL HUMANITIES SUMMER AND FALL 2020 CLASSESS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE**
Note: Students enrolled in Humanities Summer or Fall classes must be available for online meetings at the times listed in the online schedule. When a course listing states “Hours to be arranged,” there are no additional required, scheduled hours outside of the days and times listed. If no days and times are listed, there are no required, scheduled hours.
To maintain the health of our community and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Humanities Division office hours are by appointment only. To make an appointment with a Humanities Division dean, please e-mail Humanities@elcamino.edu. Every effort will be made to conduct these appointments by phone or e-mail.

2020 Summer Friday Schedule
The college is closed on Fridays during the summer beginning Friday, June 26 and continues through Friday, August 14.
The Humanities Division at El Camino College offers a wide variety of courses in its departments: Academic Strategies*, English, English as a Second Language, Foreign Languages, Journalism, Library Information Science, and Tutor Training. The courses in our division assist students in strengthening and refining their skills in a variety of academic courses while furthering their educational goals. Courses in English, ESL, and foreign languages range from basic to advanced. As the largest division on campus, we are proud of our quality faculty, who keep current with both their research and practical knowledge of their respective fields.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR FALL 2020 SEMESTER*
*Disciplines/programs/classes which require activity, labs and or meeting licensing requirements will offer on-campus classes the second 8 weeks of the Fall 2020 semester if permitted.
All other classes will be offered online for Fall 2020. To understand time commitments, please see the information listed under the “meeting information” column. You have two choices:
- If there are no days or times listed in conjunction to the section you choose, the class is fully online. For the Fall 2020 semester, please ignore lecture times to be announced.
- If you are choosing a section that lists day(s) and time(s), that means your instructor requires you to meet online during the time(s) and day(s) listed. For the Fall 2020 semester, please ignore room to be announced.

REPEAT A COURSE:
If a student receives a substandard grade (D, F or NP) or withdraws (W) from a course once, the student may repeat the course for a second time without permission.
Students who have taken a course twice but earned a substandard grade or dropped the course (D, F, NP or W), may submit a petition to repeat the course for a third time.

A student may not repeat any class for a 4th time. There are no exceptions given at the Humanities Division office.
