Dr. Vasquez brings more than 20 years of leadership and teaching experience including as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vice President for Student Services, Dean of Instruction for Business as well as Business Faculty Member, Department Chair, Program Director, Associate Dean of Business Programs, Assistant Professor of Strategy & Marketing and Vice President of Business Relations. As a faculty member (full & part time) in business, he has taught undergraduate and graduate students at State Center Community College District (SCCCD), Fresno Pacific University, Pepperdine University, California State University-Fresno, UC Merced, and Columbia College-Lemoore Campus.

Dr. Vasquez has been a collaborative proponent of positively maximizing the teaching and learning environment of the classroom for the benefit of student success. His collaborative efforts with faculty, staff, administrators, district personnel and grant agency representatives has resulted in developing a new Dream Center; a new Entrepreneurship Center; a renovation of the business classrooms; a restructured culinary program; a renovation of the biology, chemistry classrooms with a new engineering program/classrooms; an honors program and an HSI funded conceptual STEM Makerspace program. Working diligently and strategically with secondary school systems, the dual enrollment programs have tripled in enrollment.

Dr. Vasquez earned a Doctorate in Management in Community College Policy and Administration from the University of Maryland (UMGC), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from California State University-Fresno, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix (Fresno Campus), and a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Fresno Pacific University. He has also been a Board Member for the Architecture, Construction & Engineering (ACE) High School in Oxnard, CA as well as an advisor for the Patino High School of Entrepreneurship in Fresno, CA. Dr. Vasquez is also an Education Fellow for the United States Department of Agriculture.
