New Traffic Safety Trailers
Two mobile traffic safety trailers were recently purchased as part of the college's overall campus safety efforts. They are now in place along Manhattan Beach Boulevard to help educate the college and community about traffic safety, while promoting a safe environment for both drivers and pedestrians. Operated by ECC Police, these trailers can display digital messages and also have a built-in radar system that informs motorists of their current driving speed as well as the speed limit. One trailer is currently located near Facilities, cautioning drivers to be aware of pedestrians crossing the street because class is in session for the spring semester. The other trailer is stationed near the Lot C parking structure and displays motorists' speed.
