Science Club Adventures
The ECC Science Club took a five-day trip to a couple of Arizona national parks during spring recess! The group of 30 students and three faculty members toured Meteor Crater, Walnut Canyon, Wupatki National Monument, Sunset Crater, Petrified Forest National Park, Horseshoe Bend, Tuba City, and the Grand Canyon. They camped near Sedona, with outdoor group dinners and campfires. Biology professor Margaret Steinberg, math professor Susan Bickford, and geology adjunct instructor Kevin Coffey taught different science lessons at each location. Joe Holliday is the Science Club co-adviser. The next trip includes Joshua Tree National Park, set for this month.
