A new C-CERT session will begin Feb. 24 for faculty and staff members. The group includes 23 employees who will learn about disaster preparedness and train in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, emergency medical operations, light search and rescue, team organization and much more. The program incorporates active learning, integrated with lecture and visual aids. Thank you all those enrolled this semester and to the 55 employees who have already completed this important course and are certified.

As part of the El Camino College Police Department’s ongoing “whole community” approach to enhance campuswide preparedness, officers are available to conduct safety presentations to any ECC class, office, club, committee, or any other student/faculty/staff group. Building Captains and Floor Leaders have been trained in emergency procedures and are available to assist in maintaining campus safety both proactively and during situations that require immediate response.
