The El Camino College Foundation Office received a record number of more than 1,300 applications for its comprehensive scholarship program this year. Now help is needed to review, read and rank the applications so that more than $600,000 in scholarships can be awarded to deserving students for fall 2020. Scholarships are an important part of our students' education, helping them defray the costs of tuition, books and fees. Reading scholarship applications is an extremely gratifying and rewarding experience – one that reminds us who our students are by illustrating the struggles and successes they face every day as they pursue their educational goals.
