Applauding Warrior PRIDE

Introducing "Applauding Warrior PRIDE"
Everyone is invited to participate in El Camino College's "Applauding Warrior PRIDE" – a great way to send kudos to a colleague or co-worker for a job well done. This new employee recognition program is an update to the former "Applause Card" and is structurally grounded in and tied to the college's mission by recognizing employees who make a positive difference in people's lives, and the college's values by acknowledging employees who reflect Warrior PRIDE (people, respect, integrity, diversity, excellence).

Anyone currently employed by El Camino College is eligible to receive an award and to nominate an award recipient. Individuals not employed by the college are welcome to nominate an ECC employee, but are not eligible to receive an award. When nominating an employee for a Warrior PRIDE Award, please consider:

  • how the individual's actions drive the college's mission of people making a positive difference in people's lives; and/or
  • how the individual's behavior reinforces the college's core values – valuing people, respect, integrity, diversity, and/or excellence.

How to send a Warrior PRIDE Award
To recognize or "applaud" an ECC employee, simply complete the online form. A certificate of award will be emailed to the employee and his/her supervisor. Nominators can be anonymous to the recipient, but all nominators must self-identify on the online form, a copy of which is sent to the awardee's supervisor to prevent self-nominations. Award recipients also have the option of having their name published online in the President's News.
