Do your part and take a bus, train or bicycle to work! Most trips taken during a work day are by a single driver in a personal vehicle. Why not try biking, or public transportation via Metro bus and rail? You can also join activities designed to celebrate National Bike Month throughout May. This celebration of the bicycle features a variety of activities, from group rides to community events. Everyone is also invited to participate in Metro's "Bike to Work Day," set for May 16. Leave your car at home and try commuting by bike! Bring your bicycle and bike helmet on Metro bus or rail to ride for free on Bike to Work Day. Of course, carpooling is another great choice, with the added benefit of reserved "Staff Only Carpool" parking spots at ECC and the opportunity to win prizes. These are great ways to get to work while also reducing pollution and traffic congestion. Please contact Parking Services at extension 3983 to learn more about the ECC Rideshare Program, incentives, and other rideshare information.
