Planning Summit 2017

El Camino College will conduct its annual Planning Summit on Friday, April 21. The theme of this year's summit is "We've created our next Comprehensive Master Plan. Now what?" Two years in the making, the 2017-2022 Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP) is now in place. The summit will focus on the steps needed to implement the CMP.

The summit program will feature a presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Sabrina Sanders, director of student affairs projects and initiatives at California State University's Office of the Chancellor. Dr. Sanders' presentation will discuss the theme of "Thinking Outside the Box for Planning & Student Success," highlighting progress made through the CSU Graduation Initiative and other projects.

Other summit activities include updates on a variety of college initiatives, such as enrollment management, process improvement, and comprehensive master plan action items. The day will conclude with an opportunity for participants to help put the plan in motion, moving the college from planning to action. An implementation plan will be developed in fall 2017 based, in part, on planning summit feedback. More than 75 members of the El Camino College community are expected to attend the summit, including faculty, managers/supervisors, staff, and student leaders.
