ECC Joins "Pathways Mapper" Cohort
El Camino College was recently accepted by the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office to participate in the second "Pathways Mapper" cohort. This online program helps "clarify the path" by introducing students to Guided Pathways through easy-to-understand, semester-by-semester roadmaps of the courses needed to meet their educational goals. With Pathways Mapper, students can easily review their path of study, from program entry to program completion, while also viewing data on occupations associated with each program. Developed by Bakersfield College in partnership with the Chancellor's Office, the new pathways mapper is a revolutionary new way for students to clearly see what classes are needed to reach their academic goals. This important tool is expected to lead to increased completion rates and a decrease in the number of unnecessary classes that a student may take. Utilizing this new Pathways Mapper on the ECC website provides another way to meet students where they are by offering a personalized path to success.
