El Camino College Begins Accreditation Cycle
El Camino College's Accreditation Self-Study cycle begins this fall and will conclude in fall 2020. The process is underway to select co-chairs and members of the steering committee. The process will proceed as follows:

| March-August 2018 | Collect Data and Evidence |
| September 2018- February 2019 | Write First Draft |
| February 2019 | Write Quality Focused Essay (QFE) |
| Summer 2019 | Finish QFE and Second Draft |
| November 2019 | Begin Consultation and Forums |
| March 2020 | Complete Consultation and Final QFE Draft |
| May 2020 | Submit Final QFE to Board of Trustees |
| May-August 2020 | Finalize QFE |
| August 2020 | Mail Documents |
| October 2020 | Accreditation Team Visit |
