This academic year officially began with ECC’s annual fall Professional Development Day providing faculty and staff a great opportunity to reconnect and recharge with colleagues. The theme: “Strengthening Institutional Success: Technology, Safety, Enrollment, and Equity,” corresponds directly with the future of El Camino College.

Special thanks to keynote speaker and ECC alumna Dr. Dana Emerson, who expanded on this year’s theme with her presentation “Shifting Perspective: Building an Ecology of Success.” Inspiring ideas were shared about change, innovation, and the importance of including the student voice in designing the future of our institution.

Thanks also to everyone who presented workshops and to the members of the Faculty Development Committee, as well as the Professional Development& Learning Department, Media Services, Facilities and the Food Services staff for organizing this informative day.
