PRIDE Leadership: Third Cohort to Begin

The third cohort of the El Camino College PRIDE Leadership Program is scheduled to meet for the first time on Sept. 21 with 24 participants collaborating on leadership best practices. PRIDE provides "big picture" perspectives and is designed so that participants work together while learning to be innovative and creative leaders. The group will meet four times during the fall 2018 semester, starting this month with a presentation from organizational psychologist Mitchell Rosenberg, who will discuss collaborative leadership in the workplace.

The ECC PRIDE Leadership Program is named after the college's Statement of Values (People, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Excellence), with faculty, staff and managers across the college community participating. Since spring 2017, PRIDE has used theory-based approaches in developing effective leaders who will use their knowledge to help lead and shape the district and the community college system.
