PRIDE Leadership Program to Launch
PRIDE Leadership Program to Launch
The new El Camino College PRIDE Leadership Program has been submitted for funding to the Chancellor’s Office. Named after the college’s Statement of Values (People, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Excellence), PRIDE is designed to include participation from faculty, staff and managers across the college community. The program uses sound practices and theory-based approaches to developing effective leaders. Starting in spring 2017, a group of about 18-24 participants will go through the semester-long program comprised of four modules with a job shadowing/mentoring component the subsequent semester. Members of each cohort will strengthen their capacity to be enthusiastic, innovative and creative leaders, ready to help design the future of the college to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Kudos to the design team led by Lisa Mednick and members: Jose Anaya, Idania Reyes, Julieta Ortiz, Luukia Smith, Stacey Allen, and John Mufich – all worked in partnership with President Maloney to create the El Camino College PRIDE Leadership Program.
