High School Superintendent and Principal Breakfasts
High School Superintendent and Principal Breakfasts

Principals and superintendents from area high schools recently visited El Camino College and ECC Compton Center for breakfast meetings designed to increase communication among each district’s feeder schools. The breakfasts offered the opportunity for South Bay academic leaders to ask questions about ECC and ECC Compton Center, while learning about the many services available to high school students. At ECC, an update (and tour) was provided on the college’s new athletic facilities. ECC Compton Center offered a presentation about the First Year Experience and College Promise programs. “Report Cards” were also handed out at each event, outlining how students from each high school are doing at ECC and ECC Compton Center. The meetings are part of an ongoing effort to help ensure the needs of college-bound high school students are met, even before they graduate from high school.
