Welcome New Managers
Robin Dreizler is the new dean of enrollment services. Robin joined the ECC Office of Outreach and School Relations staff in 1996, most recently serving as director. Before ECC, he was a pitching coach at UCLA and UC Irvine, following two years of playing professional baseball. An ECC alumnus, he was a standout baseball player for the Warriors and went on to play at the University of Arizona. He was inducted into the ECC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. Robin also earned bachelor's and master's degrees from CSU Dominguez Hills.
Christina Gold will be the new dean of behavioral and social sciences, effective Jan. 2. A U.S. history professor at El Camino College since 2005, Christina served as the interim distance education coordinator and supports several of the college's student success initiatives, in addition to serving on a number of college committees. She received a doctorate and master's degree in history from UCLA and a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley. Christina is a 2013 ECC Woman of Distinction and 2016 ECC Distinguished Faculty award honoree.
Jeffrey Hinshaw, the new ECC business manager, comes to El Camino College after serving as the director of fiscal services at the Alvord Unified School District in Riverside. He also has several years of experience in fiscal services at various other school districts, managing budget and finance programs. Jeffrey has a bachelor's degree in business administration/finance from California State University, Fullerton and has completed the CBO certificate program at the University of California, Riverside.
Lillian Justice is the new El Camino College registrar. Her career experience includes more than 20 years in education, most recently as the director of enrollment services at Long Beach City College. Lillian also worked as the associate registrar at Long Beach City College's Pacific Coast Campus, among other positions in the admissions and records field. She earned an associate degree from Barstow College and a bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Maria Smith Lopez is ECC's new director of human resources. She has nearly 20 years of career experience in the human resources field, including more than 10 years in education. She has worked in various positions at El Camino College since 2005, including positions as a human resources analyst and human resources technician III. She earned a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a certificate in human resources management from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Ann O'Brien, an ECC alumna, will be the new executive director of marketing and communications effective Jan 2. Ann most recently served as the director of marketing communications at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, where she worked for the past 18 years. After graduating from ECC, Ann transferred to CSU Northridge where she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. Ann is currently a member of the Society of Healthcare Strategy & Market Development, and sits on the El Camino College Foundation Board.
Vladimir Vasquez is the newest member of the ECC Information Technology Services management team, serving as the application development supervisor. Vladimir comes to ECC after a position at UCLA as an internal applications manager in the university's information technology services department. He also has career experience at the Los Angeles Unified School District as a programmer/analyst, as well as positions in private industry. Vladimir earned a bachelor's degree from UC Irvine and a master's degree in engineering management at CSU Northridge.
