All are invited to attend the lecture "The History We Stand On: Re-Inserting the African American Experience into the South Bay History of Los Angeles County," set for 1:15 p.m. April 21 in the East Dining Room. Dr. Alison Rose Jefferson, author of "Living the California Dream: African American Leisure Sites during the Jim Crow Era," will speak about the proposed Gordon Manor residential project, once slated for the land now occupied by El Camino College.
