The spring 2022 semester opened with students and faculty back on campus for in-person instruction and interaction. Seeing the college bustling with activity was a welcome change campuswide after two years of virtual classes. Welcome back swag featuring “Warrior Blue” heart-shaped Valentine’s Day cards, candy, and mini hand sanitizers were handed out to the first 500 students arriving to their first in-person college classes on Monday, February 14.
The college community is planning an increased number of in-person events this semester, and students can access face-to-face meetings and assistance in the Student Services building. Online class options, workshops and informational meetings continue to be available.
El Camino requires that all students and employees be “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 or have received an approved exemption prior to attending or teaching classes. Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines continue to be followed. In addition, parking remains free on campus; no permits are required throughout the spring semester.
