Join a variety of workshops, seminars and other powerful events planned throughout March in celebration of Women's History Month. This year's National Women's History Month theme is "Valiant Women of the Vote Refuse to Be Silenced." The theme is an extension from last year and celebrates the women who have fought for a woman's right to vote in the United States. In recognition of the centennial of the 19th Amendment, the ECC celebration will honor women who have continued the struggle – fighting against poll taxes, literacy tests, voter roll purges, and other more contemporary forms of voter suppression – to ensure voting rights for all. Past events include a presentation featuring the photography of Julia Margaret Cameron and a pandemic and women's health panel.
