El Camino's annual Kid's College program returns this summer, with a variety of live, online classes for kids entering grades one-12! The award-winning program runs July 12-Aug. 20 and features one-week or two-week Monday through Friday sessions with morning and afternoon options. These not-for-credit workshops, camps, and classes are designed for serious summer fun with an emphasis on inspiring a sense of wonder and imagination for learning.
New this year are camps for both children and parents, featuring topics everyone will enjoy, such as "Camp Chocolate," led by Master Chocolatier Romeo Garcia of Romeo Chocolates. Part of the weeklong chocolate learning adventure includes a chocolate care package from Romeo Chocolates that includes top-notch delicious chocolate materials you'll learn to cook with in Camp Chocolate.
Other Kid's College offerings for younger grades include "Wow! Look What I Wrote Today," "Math Amazing! Addition + Subtraction x Multiplication," "See It, Say It, Read It—Reading Foundations," and "Cartooning and Drawing." Middle schoolers can try "The Basics of Golf," "Reading Comprehension Essentials," "Stop-Motion Animation," "Digital Photography, Drawing & Illustration;" and high school classes include "Algebra 1 Critical Concepts," "Geometry Critical Concepts," "Conquering High School Grammar," "High School Reading Comprehension Essentials," "Writing the High School Essay," "Spanish Tutoring," and "Math Tutoring."
