How to Watch

El Camino College’s 73rd Annual Commencement Ceremony will premiere on Facebook. We will post a link to the virtual celebration on Friday, June 12. You can also go directly to our Facebook page to watch the event. Please note that video and audio quality will depend on the viewers’ equipment and internet connection speed.

When is the ceremony?
Friday, June 12, 2020 at 4 p.m.

Is this like a Zoom meeting? Will my family and I be able to see each other?
Unfortunately, live video of you or your family will not be shown. However, you are welcome to host your own Zoom meeting, WebEx, or FaceTime your loved ones. The virtual ceremony will feature remarks from El Camino College leadership and personalized graduate slides displayed like a PowerPoint presentation.

When will my slide be shown?
Slides for the class of 2020 will be presented in alphabetical order (by last name) after welcome remarks and a speech from the President.

Do I need to have a Facebook account to watch the ceremony?
You do not need a Facebook account to watch the virtual ceremony. However, you do need a Facebook account if you’d like to post comments.

Can I post Facebook comments as I watch the ceremony?
Yes! We encourage you to show appreciation for your loved ones, share your accomplishments, and congratulate the class of 2020! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #ECCgrad.

I don't hear the graduate's named announced in some slides. Why?
Students who registered for the virtual commencement before May 20 had their names recorded for the ceremony. Graduates who registered after May 20 did not. Faculty slides do not include name recordings.

I have another question about the virtual ceremony. Who do I contact?
Email for any other questions.
