Adverse life experiences such as a health crisis, racial & social injustice, & family loss, directly influence brain development & functioning as well as impacts overall emotional and behavioral health.  Come share your experiences, discuss & process your feelings, and gain valuable coping tools.

Curious about the top concerns students bring in for therapy?  Attend this workshop series to boost your knowledge and resiliency when/should one of these common concerns come your way.

Sept 2 - Therapy or Nah? Ever wondered about therapy and whether it would be helpful for you? Attend this Q&A to learn about our services and to ask your burning questions about therapy!

October 7 - Breakup 101: There's no pain, like breakup pain. Learn why breaking up is so painful and how to get through to brighter days.

November 4 - The Danger of Doing Your Best: Can doing your best actually backfire? Learn how to balance striving for your goals and caring for your whole being.

December 2 - Self-Compassion: Do you beat yourself up when things go wrong? Learn how to use kindness to relieve stress and achieve your goals.

All students are invited to connect with the Latinx community & understand the Mental Health/Salud Mental through the eyes of our people/gente.  Join us to gain awareness on how some mental health issues are manifested in our communities.
9/9 Depression: Who is affected by depression and what do the symptoms look like?


10/14 Anxiety: Recognize the physiological manifestations of anxiety and how to manage an episode of anxiety.

11/18 Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) What types of PTSD are there? Who gets it? What are some symptoms?

12/9 Sleep Health: Find out the physical impact of experiencing sleep difficulties. What can I do to improve my sleep and sleep health in the Latinx community.

COVID-19 Listening Circle
Connect with other students to discuss COVID-19 uncertainties, stressors and frustrations. Listening circles provide a safe space for students to share their experiences and have hope for the future. During the listening circle everyone has the opportunity to share and be heard.

Black + Mental Health + Matters

The Art with Impact organization is collaborating with the Student Health Services and the Umoja-Project Success program to conduct a mental health workshop called Black + Mental Health + Matters

Black + Mental Health + Matters is a virtual workshop that is designed to be a place of refuge for Black students. Knowing that Black humans in America face unique and specific barriers to mental health, this workshop provides a place for Black students to be seen and heard, both collectively and individually. It equips participants with tools to help them heal and thrive.
