Assess your goals, alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco consumption and learn about risk factors.
Student Health Services offers all El Camino College students the opportunity to complete eCHECKUP TO GO - an anonymous, personalized assessment about their goals, drinking habits, marijuana or tobacco use. Students can also learn about ways to identify, prevent and interrupt sexual violence.
Users complete an assessment and receive feedback about quantity and frequency of their alcohol, marijuana or tobacco use.
Feedback is confidential, though students can access resources through the online screening if they choose.
eCHECKUP TO GO is a set of online tools that gauges an individual’s substance use and helps to reduce problematic consumption using personalized feedback and risk factors.
The programs are updated with the most current and reliable research available.
You will be asked questions about your demographic information (age, classification, etc.), use of alcohol and tobacco and/or marijuana (depending on the course you select), good things you experience when drinking alcohol/using marijuana, risk factors, experiences with peers, money and typical expenses, concerns about your alcohol/marijuana use, performance in school and other areas, time commitments, and changes you'd like to make.
All the information you enter is anonymous. Information you provide will not affect your standing at El Camino College. Do not use your student ID or name when logging in.
Please Note: If you have been required to complete the program, or if you otherwise need to receive credit for completing the program, you MUST fill out the "Verification of Completion" at the end of the program. You may also print the personalized feedback to share with someone else, if you choose.
Record the UID/unique ID number that the program generates for you in order to access your information in the future. One easy method to keep track of your number is to take a screenshot of the number on your computer/phone.
Each module should take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
