Rideshare Updates!

Share a ride to El Camino College and be eligible to win fabulous prizes! Just give up solo driving at least eight days per month by participating in the ECC Alternate Mode of Transportation Program and you could win a gift card to Home Depot, Target, Trader Joe’s, or Sport Authority. Be sure to register with the program through ECC Parking Services and then bike, ride, walk, carpool, or take the bus/rail or Metro link to work.

Remember – people who rideshare can park in “Staff Only Carpool” spots. The rideshare program has allocated 15 parking stalls for staff/faculty members who carpool to El Camino College, located in Lots C, H, and A. The staff carpool stalls are marked with orange “Staff Carpool Only” signs and are ready for your group!

 

Do your part! Southern California leads the nation in air pollution and traffic congestion. Currently eight in 10 commuters drive alone to work, and traffic congestion is growing by three percent each year. If changes aren’t made, average rush-hour speeds will drop by more than half in the next decade – from 35 mph to 15 mph!
