Schauerman Library: New electronic
resources available!
Check out some of the recent changes to the Library’s electronic resources:
http://www.elcamino.edu/library/library_ser/index.asp
- A new subscription to Boom: A Journal of California was added. Boom is the first scholarly, peer-reviewed journal to explore the state in a comprehensive way – its history, economy, politics, culture and arts. The journal is available from its inaugural March 2011 issue, both online through the JSTOR platform and in print form. Find print issues in the Periodicals Department.
- JSTOR has increased the number of “early” journal titles (titles published in the U.S. prior to 1923 or published outside the U.S. prior to 1870) to which users have automatic full-text access when conducting searches.
- RCLWeb is a new database, and is the online edition of the standard reference work, Resources for College Libraries. It lists thousands of print and electronic titles in curriculum-specific subjects that are considered essential for academic libraries. The subjects include those commonly taught at community and technical colleges. The Library uses this resource routinely in the development of our collection.
- Please note: our free one-year subscription to the International Bibliography of Theatre & Dance with full text database ended.
- The Chronicle of Higher Education is available in full text online through two of our databases, EBSCOHost Academic Search Premier and EBSCOhost MasterFILE Premier. The coverage is full-text, dating back to 1999, with the exclusion of the latest month’s issues. (This is intentional on the part of the publisher, so we also subscribe to the Chronicle in print, the last six months of which are kept in the Periodicals Department.)
