Swimming and Setting Records

Kudos to Traci Granger, professor in Health Sciences & Athletics, for setting a national record and winning five events in the recent United States Masters Swimming 2019 spring championships in Mesa, Arizona! Granger competed with nearly 2,000 swimmers ages 18 to 97 from across the country, including Olympians Matt Grevers, Josh Davis, Rick Colella and Mike Alexandrov. She trains with Los Angeles Peninsula Swimmers and set a record in her age group for the 100 butterfly, with a time of 1:03.59. Granger also won the 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard butterfly,100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly and the 100-yard individual medley.
