Karla Moreno
Alumna Karla Moreno is a 2011 ECC graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from UC Berkeley. She is the site coordinator at Roosevelt Elementary for Reading Partners, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving elementary school students’ reading skills. Through her first job right after earning her degree, Moreno is enjoying watching students succeed after just a few weeks of tutoring. She credits El Camino College for helping her achieve her goals.
“The time I spent at El Camino College was a challenging, yet enlightening experience where I frequently reflected on the importance of education,” Moreno said. “As a first-generation college student, navigating the community college system was difficult but necessary. However, my success would not have been possible without the amazing staff, faculty and programs ECC offers at an affordable price!"
