Many thanks to the City of Torrance for a recent donation to the Warrior Pantry that included food items and a generous check that will be used to purchase additional food and supplies for the pantry. El Camino is a beneficiary of the City of Torrance Transit Department's "Stuff A Bus" drive, a program designed to help others during the holiday season. In total, over 2,187 toys and gifts were received, along with over $1,232 in cash donations.
The Warrior Pantry is open Monday-Thursday for the spring semester, ready to support students facing food insecurity. All ECC students enrolled in at least one unit for spring 2020 are invited to visit the food pantry in room PHYS 116 for access to supplementary food items. New this semester, the Warrior Pantry now features a Sparkletts bottled hot water system, which allows for instant oatmeal, noodle cups, or any instant food or drink that requires only hot water. Please check the Warrior Pantry webpage for new expanded spring hours: https://www.elcamino.edu/student/studentservices/warriorpantry/.
