A variety of events are scheduled throughout March in celebration of Women's History Month. This year's National Women's History Month theme, "NEVERTHELESS SHE PERSISTED: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women" presents the opportunity to honor women who have shaped America's history and its future through their commitment to ending discrimination against women and girls. The Women's History Month Luncheon will feature the 2018 Women of Distinction Award honorees. This award celebrates outstanding women from the El Camino College area, honoring them for their contributions to women's and girls' causes and community service that aligns with this year's National Women's History Month theme. The women honored will have their portraits hung in the ECC Women's Wall of Fame gallery over the next year. They will also have their names engraved on a perpetual plaque in the gallery and will receive a certificate of recognition during the Women's History Month Luncheon. All are invited to attend the luncheon; please make reservations by March 19.
