Work is underway to prepare for the fall 2020 visit by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) visiting team. ECC's Accreditation Steering Committee and accreditation co-chairs have been training, collecting evidence, and writing an initial draft of the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report as part of the comprehensive review demonstrating ECC meets the accreditation standards. Currently the Steering Committee is in the process of identifying possible topics for the Quality Focus Essay (QFE). Accreditation is part of our college culture, an ongoing process of evaluating our policies, procedures, processes and outcomes in accordance with ACCJC standards. All ECC employees and students are encouraged to participate in this important endeavor – input from all areas of the college is needed.
