ECC Accessibility Forum

As part of El Camino College's continued commitment to providing a safe and accessible campus, all new construction, modernization, and continued maintenance projects will be analyzed for accessibility and potential physical barriers. An upcoming self-evaluation forum is planned for 1-2 p.m. May 23 in the East Dining Room to provide everyone, including individuals with disabilities or organizations representing individuals with disabilities, an opportunity to give input on these topics. This forum is an integral part of the college's facilities planning, coordination, and scheduling of work in accordance with federal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Comments should be specific to accessibility-related physical barriers, which may include, but are not limited to, steps, stairways, curbs, exterior surfaces, paving, parking areas, building entrances and exits, internal and external doors, gates, toilets, sinks, public facilities (such as telephones, counters or service desks), elevators, wheelchair lifts and escalators, floor coverings and signs. All comments should also include building or parking lot identification, room or site location, location in the room (wall, floor, ceiling, etc.) and a description of the physical barrier item.
