Loyola Marymount University President Timothy Law Snyder recently visited El Camino College for a meeting with ECC President Dena P. Maloney and a campus tour. LMU's Vice Provost, Enrollment Management Maureen Weatherall and Director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services Tom Gutto also attended the tour that included informative stops at the Transfer Center and KEAS Program. A new partnership between LMU and ECC recently launched, giving El Camino College students a direct line to transferring to the Los Angeles campus. This fall, 23 ECC students joined the LMU Transfer Pathway Program, as part of college's award-winning First Year Experience. After one year in this new transfer program, El Camino College students become eligible for guaranteed admission to LMU if GPA and unit requirements are met. ECC students also have access to academic support services, sporting events, workshops, financial aid and scholarship information, transfer counseling, and other LMU resources. Loyola Marymount University regularly ranks as a top transfer destination among in-state private institutions for El Camino College students.
