Enrollment Management
South Bay Promise: Applications Available for Fall 2019
The South Bay Promise is now accepting applications for Fall 2019. An innovative program designed to improve college access and affordability, the South Bay Promise also offers students counseling and support services as they work to transfer to a university or pursue a rewarding career. New for 2019: The South Bay Promise is available to all first-time, full-time college students (regardless of school district) who complete the steps for eligibility and attend El Camino College the fall after their senior year. Also new this year is an online application form.
El Camino College created the South Bay Promise program in 2014. After a modest start, the program now serves upwards of 500 full-time recent high school graduates. Participants in the South Bay Promise pay no enrollment fees in their first year of college and are strongly encouraged to apply for scholarships through the El Camino College Foundation to support enrollment fees in their second year at ECC.
