The Write Stuff!

The ECC Writing Center is open for Fall 2011 and ready to help students with writing assignments! Students who need help starting an essay, proofing an essay, or guidance through writer’s block should visit the Writing Center for expert advice on the written word.

Students are advised to come in BEFORE starting a writing project. Prewriting conferences allow time to organize the assignment and discuss other questions, such as quoting or parenthetical citations.

Full draft writing conferences are also available, where students can receive help organizing ideas and evaluating supporting evidence (two conferences per assignment / assignment sheet required).

The Writing Center is pleased to be a resource for students throughout the writing process. However, please note that due to budget cuts, printing will not be allowed in the Writing Center. Students will be directed to the pay-for-print service in the library basement.
